In the UK all Landlords that rent property are required, by law, to have the property Electrically Inspected and Certified.  Only an accredited, trained person should carry this out such as a registered electrician.  Brilliant Electrical have provided Periodic Electrical Inspection Certificates for landlords for many years.

The Landlord Certification highlights if any existing circuits or equipment are overloaded or unsafe.  This inspection determines if there are any hazards such as risks of electric shocks.  Electrical Circuits and Equipment are also inspected to ensure there is no defective electrical work or lack of adequate earthing and bonding.  This is one of the main reasons for Landlords to ensure they have their Landlord Certification.
